Ibrahim Shalaby is a Canadian Jerusalemite Architect & Interior designer, who always says "I don't live in Jerusalem it lives in me". Born in Amman (Jordan), his canvases elicit feelings of nostalgia, warmth and love for Arab cities; he is influenced by the traditional heritage and culture of Arabs. Ibrahim paints real places that he has visited before - Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, U.A.E. In 1948 he toured Palestine through Achre, Jaffa, Nazareth, Haifa, Tiberias and the Nativity of Bethlehem beside many Palestinian villages. Ibrahim has become an internationally known and respected Palestinian-Canadian artist and has worked as a professor in different universities.
